Maintaining and enhancing residents individual lifestyle, well-being and spirituality is a priority of our diverse lifestyle team.

Resident enjoy and participate in a wide range of group activity (to include sing-a-longs; dances; concerts; bus outings; variety of church services and significant celebrations etc) as well as specific one-on-one activities with our pastoral carers, diversional therapists and volunteers.

Volunteers at Canossa Services are managed through a formalized program and supported by our volunteer coordinator.

Residents with an ethnic background are supported to maintain and continue their cultural beliefs and practices whilst in residence at Canossa Services.

• An expert team of qualified managers lead a committed team of service staff to ensure residents receive quality catering, housekeeping and laundry services meeting both their individual needs and the overall needs of Canossa Services.

Canossa Services Facilities

Canossa Services - Residential complex offers accommodation and facilities to care for and manage the needs of 195 aged care residents requiring either low or high care. All residents enjoy the comfort and privacy of single rooms and interlocking ensuites between two rooms.
There is a secure unit to provide a safe environment for residents with dementia and who wander and a designated floor for ethnic (Italian) residents requiring low care.

Verona Vila Hostel – is a multi level (3) facility accommodating 74 residents, the ground floor has a secure entrance to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents with dementia who may have a tendency to wander.

Magdalen House Nursing Home – is a modernized high care facility offering single room accommodation with shared ensuite bathroom.

Bakhita House Nursing Home – is a three level high care facility accommodating 16 residents on each floor. Residents in Bakhita are able to enjoy the surrounding views from the enclosed verandahs adjacent to each single room.

Canossa Hostel for Ethnic Aged – is a sixteen-bed unit located on the fourth floor of Bakhita House. Residents accommodated on this floor are of Italian background and their specific cultural needs (to include language, food, religious and social) are continually monitored and met with Italian speaking staff and the greater Canossian Community.

The Chapel – the weather protected walkways linking Madgalen House, Bakhita House and the onsite Chapel enable residents the opportunity to continue their worship and religious commitment at the Chapel if they choose to do so. Relatives, friends and the wider community are also most welcome to visit and participate in celebrations at the Chapel if they wish to.

Recreation Hall, Library and BBQ – residents, friends and volunteers are able to participate and enjoy daily scheduled activities (to include singing, dancing, bar-b-ques, cooking etc) in the hall, library or gardens.
